Rolling right along.

Well, here we are at 14 weeks and a naval orange. It's going by quite fast, considering we're more than a quarter of the way to the finish line! The belly keeps getting bigger, and I'm very happy to say that the second week of the second trimester has brought back much of my energy. The dogs are glad to be walked in the evenings, and I'm glad to eat better home-cooked food than grilled cheese sandwiches (as I'm sure Brant is too).

Speaking of, Brant returned late last night from his longest China trip in years - one more day and I would have become a basketcase!

Another thing about to basketcase me: Not knowing if it's a boy or girl in there! 6 more weeks to find out. I didn't think I'd be so intent on knowing, but it feels like once we know we can really start planning and picking out and talking names and all that fun stuff.

My sewing machine will arrive any day now (thanks again, Mom & Pop!), and I think I've decided to make the baby's bed quilt myself. Just a fun tidbit about the nursery!
